About Us
The Susila Nivas Homestay is a private home located in the heart of the land of Lord Jagannath, Puri. Far from the chaos of the city yet being very close to the beach and the market, the homestay offers a peaceful residential experience. We are proud to provide a very good hospitality and we thrive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Susila Nivas was started as an ode to the host’s mother (Susila Devi) and with her blessings, we continue to build an experience of a home away from your homes. Cleanliness, safety and security is our top most priority and we don’t consider it as an option.
Host
The host of Susila Nivas is Mr. Harekrishna Dash. Being a people person at heart, he enjoys the company of others and exchanging stories with them. Besides hosting, he loves traveling, listening to music, and playing musical instruments. In order to fulfill his dream of starting a personal business, he decided to venture into the hospitality space by becoming a host. He is a qualified engineer and has a huge experience in the industrial sector. He usually greets his guests personally during check-in and check-out. For other guest management responsibilities, there’s a caretaker at the property to take care of guest needs.
Our Policy
Susila Nivas is dedicated to making the stay comfortable for all the guests. It also respects the people working to make this possible everyday. The statement is a big committment so to make it possible, we have some policies or rules. Below are the rules listed:
- Check-In Time: 9 am. Check-out time: 8 am. Main Gate opens at 6 am. Main gate closes at 10 pm. Housekeeping: 8 am to 9 am. If you want any exception, please contact the caretaker and the host.
- Linen change – 3rd day: Your linen will be changed every 3rd day of your overall stay at Susila Nivas
- Kitchen Maintenance – Self Help: Keeping the utensils clean is your responsibility. Please clean it after use so that the other guests can also use it. If you need extra help in cleaning, extra charges will be applicable.
- Smoking and Drinking Restricted: Smoking and drinking alcohol in common areas is not allowed. You can do so in your respective rooms.
- Loud Music and Pets not allowed: Partying with loud music is not allowed in the property. Even pets are not allowed. This disturbs our fellow guests and the neighbourhood.
- Power Backup (Not for AC): There is an inverter based power backup available but only for lights and fans in your room. During power failure, power backup won’t work for AC and geysers
